You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Peterborough where we bring design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
As the Senior Planner, you will:
* Work with the delivery team and SMEs to translate proposals and methodologies into a project programme.
* Challenge outputs and logic to develop reliable programmes that can be delivered safely, efficiently and reliably while meeting all requirements of Skanska and our customers’ planning standards.
* Assist in maintaining and updating the main project programme, performance indicators and progress records, deliver collaborative planning and short‑term programmes and prepare programme submission documents.
* Review suppliers’ programmes for compliance with our requirements.
* Work with the project team and suppliers to produce and maintain collaborative look‑ahead programmes that align with the main programme.
We are looking for:
* Construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices.
* Understanding of various forms of construction documents, contracts and specifications.
* Experience in both design and construction phase planning, ideally whilst working for a construction contractor.
* Understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
* Relevant CSCS Card.
* Degree/HND/HNC in Construction / Engineering is preferred.
