Job Description
The key responsibilities for a Fixed Asset Accountant will include:
3. Manage and maintain the company's fixed assets register
4. Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and journal entries
5. Contribute to the preparation of month-end accounts and financial statements
6. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
7. Liaise with external auditors as required
8. Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects
9. Ensure financial compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
10. Provide analysis and insights to management regarding fixed assets
The Successful Applicant
A successful Fixed Assets Accountant should have:
11. A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
12. Strong Financial Accounting experience managing and reporting on Fixed Assets
13. Qualified by experience or part-qualified
14. Proficiency in accounting software ideally Oracle or SAP and strong MS excel skills
15. Experience working in a large business ideally in a SSC
16. Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting principles and practices
17. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
18. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
