SHE Advisor Trainer – Civil Engineering Construction Location: Whitwick, Coalville (National Role – Travel Required) Salary: £43,000 – £47,000 Company Car Are you passionate about creating safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces? We’re looking for a SHE Advisor Trainer to join our contracting SHE team and lead the charge in eliminating workplace accidents, environmental incidents, and ill health across our civil engineering and road construction operations. National role - Requires travel What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering impactful safety, health, and environmental training across multiple sites Supporting operational teams in embedding a strong safety culture Driving continuous improvement and compliance across the business Travelling nationally to support teams and ensure consistent standards To promote competence training, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, disseminating best practice and carrying out behavioral auditing and site inspections for Health and Safety, Environment and Sustainability Plan, schedule and deliver professional SHE training to site operatives, managers and senior managers, including wider sustainability matters Develop SHE training packages to support the Integrated Management System (IMS), Pathway System and MPA ‘Safety by Competence’ requirements. Key Responsibilities Support and develop the Integrated Management System (IMS) and associated databases, ensuring effectiveness and cost-efficiency. Lead working groups to review and improve IMS procedures. Investigate SHE incidents using root cause analysis and advise on preventive measures. Represent SHE strategy at senior management meetings and deputise for the SHE Business Partner when required. Coordinate and attend Panel of Learning meetings following significant incidents. Conduct strategic site visits to promote SHE best practices and 2030 sustainability goals. Advise on plant and equipment compliance for major CAPEX projects. Assist with environmental permit applications and impact assessments. Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies where appropriate. Ensure consistent SHE compliance and performance across all sites. Monitor and report SHE performance at key business meetings. Support industry bodies and working groups as directed. Organise and contribute to sustainability working group meetings. Promote sustainable behaviours and develop SHE communications and safety alerts. Why Join us?
