Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary Schools) Location: Tameside, Gorton & Denton Start Date: September ⏰ Job Type: Full-time / Term-time only Pay: £93 – £115 per day About the Role We are recruiting enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary school students across a variety of subjects. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are passionate about education and want to build experience before teacher training or a career in schools. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support learning, engagement, and positive behaviour in the classroom. Key Responsibilities ✨ Support students in class (1:1, small groups, and whole class support) ✨ Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons ✨ Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning environments ✨ Provide targeted intervention support for students who need extra help ✨ Support pupils with additional learning needs (SEN where required) ✨ Encourage confidence, motivation, and participation What We’re Looking For ✔ Degree-level qualification (any subject) ✔ Essential: Experience working with children or young people (youth work, sports coaching, support work, mentoring, etc.) ✔ Strong behaviour management skills ✔ Calm, confident, and resilient personality ✔ Passion for education and helping young people succeed ✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) Why Join?
