Job Description
Work within a team of highly skilled design engineers to deliver high-quality surface geometry models to support the aerodynamic development of the team’s race cars.
Main Duties
* Deliver complex surface geometry models for CFD, Wind Tunnel, and full-size release.
* Collaborate with Aerodynamicists to define and scope new surfaces, including modelling approaches.
* Liaise with model designers to implement aerodynamic projects efficiently.
* Support the release of aero surface geometry to the full-size car design team.
* Coordinate with full-size car designers to create high-quality surface geometry for full-size release.
* Mentor junior team members and support the development of methodologies and modelling techniques.
* Support standard design practices implementation.
Requirements
* A degree in Engineering, Design, Motorsport, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in motorsport.
* Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience or CATIA).
* Strong understanding of surface quality, model layout, and robustness.
* High proficiency in surfacing and parametric modelling techniques.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
* Effective team management and leadership abilities.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite.
* Commitment to an inclusive and diverse work environment.
