Would you like to Join team Balbirnie and become a part of our ever amazing accumulating history?

Salary £35k + tips circa £3k

We are seeking for an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to fulfil roles predominantly within our Orangery kitchen. You must be passionate about completely exuding Scottish Hospitality and aim to provide absolutely wonderful customer service.

The successful candidate will be able to:

* Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
* Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
* Confidently expedite the kitchen pass
* Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients
* Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organised for HACCAP
* Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
* Manage food and product ordering through procure wizard
* Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
* Verify that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed

Qualifications

* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a culinary environment
* Strong kitchen and culinary skills with a focus on food safety
* Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management
* Background in hospitality and restaurant operations
* Supervisory experience in food production settings
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £38,000.00 per year
