Staffline is recruiting on behalf of our client, a mid-sized accountancy practice based in Belfast, for a Practice Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the smooth running of day-to-day operations, supporting the delivery of excellent client service in a professional services environment.

The successful applicant will have prior experience in practice or professional services management, taking responsibility for people, processes, and performance to ensure efficiency, compliance, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring processes run efficiently and remain compliant.
* Oversee preparation, monitoring, and analysis of billing and timesheets.
* Coordinate firm-wide workflow, ensuring department heads allocate resources effectively and meet deadlines.
* Lead, mentor, and support the client service team, maintaining high service standards and encouraging professional development.
* Develop, implement, and improve systems, processes, and technology to enhance efficiency.
* Track and report on financial performance, including budgets and key business metrics.
* Act as a primary contact for clients on operational and non-technical matters.
* Support partners with strategic planning and business development initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

* Proven experience in practice or professional services management.
* Strong operational and workflow management expertise, with the ability to allocate resources and monitor deadlines effectively.
* Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
* Analytical and problem-solving ability, including experience producing reports and interpreting data to inform decision-making.
* Strong IT skills, including practice management software, Excel, and other reporting tools.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of the business and regulatory environment affecting accountancy practices.
* Adaptability and resilience to work in a dynamic, growing practice.
