Microsoft Security Engineer sought to join a prominent client based in London, with options to also work from their Birmingham or Manchester offices. The role involves shaping, designing, and implementing secure digital environments for clients, primarily focusing on Microsoft's E5 security suite, especially Microsoft Purview, but also encompassing various enterprise technologies.
You will support clients by leading design and implementation activities throughout multi-year transformation programs. As part of the Security Architecture team, your contributions will span both Microsoft-specific and cross-technology projects, helping clients maintain resilience and compliance in hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
Key skills and responsibilities,
Microsoft Security & Compliance (E5 Suite)
* Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Purview, with specialization in Information Protection, Data Lifecycle Management, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, and advanced Compliance Portal configuration.
* Proficient in leveraging the Microsoft Defender Suite, encompassing Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud, and Cloud Apps.
* Skilled in Microsoft Sentinel, including experience in connector design and onboarding processes.
* Possess comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), with a focus on Conditional Access, Identity Governance, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Access Reviews.
* Competent in Defender for Cloud and Azure Security services such as Key Vault, DDoS Protection, and Security Posture Management.
* Proven leadership in designing and implementing Microsoft E5 security and compliance capabilities across Purview, Defender, Entra ID, and Sentinel platforms.
* Recognized as a trusted security architect, adept at developing reference architectures and target operating models spanning both Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies. Highly skilled in integrating Microsoft-native controls within enterprise and multi-cloud environments.
* Extensive proficiency in Microsoft's E5 security suite, with particular emphasis on Purview solutions for Information Protection, Data Governance, and Compliance. Capable of translating security principles into scalable and actionable architectural patterns.
* Established record of delivering enterprise-scale security solutions in complex client settings, supported by a deep understanding of enterprise security architecture and effective integration of Microsoft controls with broader platforms and services.
