Job Role:
Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant
The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker should ideally have some experience in care and be compassionate.
They will help with the daily care of patients either at home or within a care facility.
Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are not essential but are preferable.
As a Care Worker, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant, you would work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other healthcare assistants.
Your duties could include:
Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
Assisting with meals and feeding
Making and changing beds
Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
Talking to patients to help reduce anxiety
Assisting patients with mobility
Helping with toileting needs
Maintaining tidiness in wards or homes
Managing supplies and equipment
Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and equipment to lift and move patients. In hospitals, you may escort patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
Due to client location, having a car or reliable transport is advantageous.
