Overview
Academics is seeking an Enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a GOOD Ofsted rated rural primary school on the outskirts of Nantwich. This position is suitable for a TA with knowledge and experience in developing a child’s communication, social, emotional and interaction skills. The role includes delivering a speech and language care plan of activities and monitoring progress toward targets, with daily support for reading, sentence writing sessions, and assisting in understanding the purpose of lessons.
Responsibilities
* Follow and deliver a speech and language care plan of activities and monitor progress toward targets
* Provide daily support with reading and sentence writing sessions
* Support positive learning exchanges and help pupils understand the purpose of lessons
* Build good working relationships with pupils and adults
* Help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
* Experience developing a child’s communication, social, emotional and interaction skills
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Experience working with children with Autism
* Patience, flexibility and a sense of humour
