A Grammar School in Stockport are seeking a meticulous and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the school's purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and timely, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
* Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring they are correctly coded and authorised.
* Prepare and execute regular payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
* Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions in the purchase ledger.
* Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries and discrepancies.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and provide support during audits.
* Ensure all financial transactions comply with school policies and relevant regulations.
