The Role Reporting to the Head of Sales, we’re seeking an ambitious and emotionally intelligent Account Executive to join the UK’s leading cloud-based expense management solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from initial discovery through to successful close, playing a key role in helping prospects understand how ExpenseIn can transform their expense management processes. This role requires strong consultative selling skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to managing the sales pipeline. You’ll engage with prospects through various channels and deliver tailored software demonstrations that align with their specific business needs and challenges. We’re looking for a confident, detail-oriented sales professional who takes ownership of their pipeline and delivers a seamless, end-to-end sales experience for every prospect. A strong understanding of SaaS sales and the ability to communicate value at every stage of the journey are essential for success in this role. What you’ll be doing Leading consultative discovery meetings to uncover prospect requirements, pain points and key business drivers. Delivering tailored, in-depth software demonstrations for prospects via Microsoft Teams and, very occasionally, on-site. Engaging with new customers across multiple channels, including live chat, email and phone. Organising and leading regular Account Reviews during the first six months to ensure the customer is satisfied, aligned on goals, and fully realises the value of the platform. Conducting monthly pipeline reviews with the Head of Sales to share progress, insights and forecasting updates. Proactively re-engaging lost leads to uncover potential new opportunities. Supporting trial accounts by helping them get the most out of the platform and serving as their dedicated point of contact during the evaluation period. Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of ExpenseIn’s solutions, expense management best practices and relevant tax considerations. Creating tailored pricing proposals and providing compelling sales collateral aligned with each prospect’s needs. Post-sale, tracking customer engagement and system usage using internal tools and reports to ensure a smooth transition into long-term success. What you’ll need 3 years of experience in a B2B SaaS sales role, ideally as an Account Executive or similar. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different stakeholders. To be comfortable presenting to senior decision-makers and navigating complex sales cycles. A strong understanding of the full sales process – from discovery and demo through to negotiation and close. Skills using data and metrics to drive decisions and refine sales strategy. The ability to quickly learn and communicate the value of technical products clearly and compellingly. To be organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple opportunities at various stages of the pipeline. To be a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Confidence using sales engagement tools, CRM systems, and reporting dashboards. Why work with us?
