Overview:
* EPM Solutions are actively looking to recruit an enthusiastic Junior Engineer to complement our existing team, based here at our offices in Paisley, Scotland .
* This is a full-time, office-based role and is an ideal entry level role for those with an appetite and interest in engineering.
* Range of duties will be diverse, as is our customer base and the sectors we work in.
* Although predominantly an office-based role, over time, some travel to sites (UK wide) will be required as determined by our workload.
* This is a real opportunity for someone at the early stage of their career to learn, grow and develop within an engineering environment, working with experienced engineers and engaging with our blue-chip customer base.
* Medium to longer term objectives for this person would include working towards an increased responsibility and ownership of workload within the business, along with gaining a recognised engineering qualification.
* The successful candidate would be supported/managed/mentored through all aspects of their workload, with a focus on personal development through both on-the-job training/support and formal training/qualifications.
Role:
Working within our engineering support team, your role will initially include (but not necessarily be limited to) the following:
* Data entry (Excel & Access databases),
* Developing asset registers,
* Creating/Updating drawings (AutoCAD),
* Supporting/administering customer CMMS software systems,
* Maintenance planning,
* Research and development of maintenance regimes,
* Technical document review,
* Liaising with suppliers and customers,
* Visiting customer sites for asset survey, data gathering and asset tagging purposes,
* General project administration duties.
Essential skills & attributes should include:
* The ability to convey information clearly and professionally through both written correspondence and verbal interactions,
* Presentable, customer facing and willing to show initiative,
* An interest in engineering or a technical subject,
* A current driving licence (or actively working towards),
* Microsoft Excel and Word familiarity and experience,
* A knowledge of Technical Drawing/Computer Aided Draughting [AutoCAD].
Desirable skills & attributes:
* Technical qualifications (either high school level or further education),
* Previous CAD Technician/Engineering experience,
* Previous experience of working in an engineering environment,
* An understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs),
* A basic understanding of either mechanical or electrical engineering principles (e.g. ONC/HNC level).
