New contract requirement for a role an experienced engineer to undertaking in simulation software & test development within an innovative aerospace environment. Required Skills: Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. Strong programming proficiency in C/C++ with experience using Visual Studio. Understanding of cockpit Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Experience with configuration control tools, particularly Mercurial. Ability to work independently, think creatively, and adapt to fluid requirements. Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one). Nice to Have Skills: Experience in task leading, including QMS documentation and mentoring. Familiarity with Linux OS. Knowledge of avionics or mission systems domains. Proficiency in Jira for software task management. Understanding of Simulation Interoperability standards such as HLA, DIS, Link16. General military aircraft domain interest or experience. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline. Proven experience in software development for simulation or aerospace applications, ideally with hands-on involvement in cockpit or avionics systems. Other Requirements: This position is primarily onsite, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week. Must hold or be eligible for security clearance.
