Role Title: Solution Architect Location: Sheffield Duration: 31/12/2025 Rate: £330 per day - PAYE via Umbrella Only Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance IT solutions that align with our business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical architectures and ensure successful delivery of complex systems. Key Responsibilities: Analyse business requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints. Design end-to-end solutions that integrate with existing systems and platforms. Lead technical teams in the implementation of architectural solutions. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project managers to ensure alignment. Conduct system evaluations and recommend improvements. Document architecture designs, decisions, and implementation plans. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods. Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a solution architecture role. Strong knowledge of system integration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and microservices. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or C#. Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL), APIs, and messaging systems (Kafka, JMS). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect TOGAF or SAFe for Architects Desirable Skills: Experience with Redis, Salesforce, or SAP. Knowledge of event-driven architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Ability to conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and performance tuning. Strong documentation and presentation skills.
