We are looking for a conscientious and driven GDPR Compliance Officer to ensure our charity remains compliant with data protection regulations and maintains the highest standards of information security. This role is critical to safeguarding sensitive data and supporting our work with digital technologies. You will be based at our main campus in Mansfield with some travel across our other sites in Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities:

•Create and maintain the Information Asset Register.

•Audit and monitor data usage across the charity, producing detailed reports.

•Respond to Subject Access Requests (SAR/DSAR) within required timescales.

•Support continual improvement of ICT systems and compliance with cyber security initiatives.

•Contribute to the Charity Data Committee and produce quarterly compliance reports.

•Assist in developing ICT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.

•Drive innovation by leveraging new technologies and best practices.

We’d love to hear from you if:

•You have a strong understanding of GDPR and IT security.

•You have a background in software and data management.

•You have demonstrable experience of handling confidential information and maintaining GDPR compliance.

•You have excellent documentation and organisational skills.

•You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and you are able to work effectively with teams across the college.

•You are able to independently manage a varied workload.

•You have some knowledge of Windows Server, Office 365, SharePoint development, and PowerApps.

As part of our pre-employment checks, we will be required to carry out an enhanced with Child and Adult Barred Lists DBS check. This role does not involve regulated activity with our learners/citizens.

Qualifications needed

•Formal GDPR qualification or qualified through experience

•Formal ICT Project Management qualification or qualified through experience

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm – some flexibility may be possible.
