Who this role is for This role suits a delivery-focused PMO Lead who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and is comfortable operating at pace in a lean, PE-owned FMCG. You'll do well here if you are pragmatic rather than theoretical, can influence without authority, and are happy rolling up your sleeves to get control where it's needed. This is not a PMO Analyst role, nor is it a senior advisory/assurance position. It is a hands-on PMO Lead assignment with real accountability. The opportunity You'll join a newly established UK business operating within a wider European structure, going through significant change and separation activity. The environment is fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and delivery-driven. Processes are still being embedded, and the PMO function needs firm but practical leadership to bring consistency, transparency, and momentum. You'll work closely with UK and regional stakeholders, acting as the PMO point of coordination while aligning with a broader hub-and-spoke operating model. What you'll be doing day to day Acting as the PMO lead for a complex change portfolio, providing governance, cadence, and control Establishing and embedding PMO standards, reporting, RAID, and portfolio dashboards Tracking delivery milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource capacity Producing clear, decision-ready reporting for senior stakeholders Coordinating across functions to manage interdependencies and unblock delivery issues Supporting change activity linked to separation and operating-model transition Bringing structure without slowing delivery in a fast-paced environment What you must bring Proven experience as a PMO Lead or PMO Manager in complex organisations Hands-on delivery of PMO governance, reporting, and portfolio control Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple functions Confidence working in ambiguous, changing environments Solid tooling capability (e.g. Excel, PMO dashboards, portfolio tools) Availability to work 3 days per week on site in Slough Right to work in the UK and willingness to work PAYE only Nice to have Experience in FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced sectors Exposure to separation, divestment, or operating-model change Experience working within regional or hub-and-spoke structures Contract details 12-month PAYE contract up to £522 per day, inclusive of holiday pay Inside IR35 Hybrid working: 3 days on site in Slough This role offers strong exposure, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a visible impact in a business that prioritises delivery over theory.
