Head of IT
We are seeking a Head of IT for a market-leading professional services organisation with offices across Wales and England, dedicated to providing exceptional client services.
The successful candidate will be based within a commutable distance of Cardiff (or willing to relocate) and have prior experience in the professional services sector.
Due to continued growth, this role requires an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee and develop the IT function. The Head of IT will manage a team supporting approximately 1000 staff members and will be pivotal in evolving IT operations to meet business demands.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategy Implementation: Execute and oversee the existing IT strategy, ensuring effective delivery of IT projects aligned with company goals.
2. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop IT teams across Service Desk, Security & Operations, and Training, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
3. Service Desk Management: Ensure efficient operation of the IT service desk, providing exceptional support across multiple offices.
4. Service Delivery: Oversee IT service delivery to meet business needs, adhere to SLAs, and promote continuous improvement.
5. Infrastructure and Operations: Lead initiatives to maintain reliable systems and ensure regulatory compliance, managing operational risks effectively.
6. IT Training: Guide the IT Training team to deliver high-quality programs that enhance digital skills and support technology adoption.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management to understand IT needs and communicate initiatives clearly.
Skills & Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
1. Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Proven senior IT management experience, preferably within professional services.
3. Strong knowledge of IT service management, infrastructure, and operations.
4. Experience in implementing IT strategies and managing large projects.
5. Excellent leadership and team development skills.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
