Role Information

Transforming lives is what we do best, and there is no better example of this than in our Academies. Our Military Academies have seen amazing growth over the last few months with the addition of MPCT taking us to a total of 34 academies across England and Wales. We want to continue this amazing growth by driving learner starts across all sites, helping us to expand further in the future and transforming even more lives.

As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Centre Manager by driving learner starts and enrolling them on to their chosen programme. This is a busy role where you need to balance the need for commercial and administrative activity on a daily basis.

DUTIES

* Develop links with key external stakeholders (e.g. employers, schools, local authorities, community centres and JCPs) to generate enrolments on public services programmes
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify training and employment opportunities
* Carry out stakeholder recruitment activity including advertising, pre-screening, and interviewing
* Update the centralised vacancy database
* Liaise with stakeholders in relation to the enrolment process of learners
* Organise and manage open days to generate potential interest in military careers
* Manage employer surveys on an ad hoc and bi-annual basis where applicable
* Enrol new learners onto the correct programme
* Advertise current vacancies and manage applications on the CRM, including pre-screening and interviewing
* Conduct student reviews in the centre and document telephone reviews as required
* Support communication to students and externals including termly communications and follow-up calls
* Interview applicants for their chosen programme, completing eligibility checks and related ESFA documentation
* Act as a point of contact for learners providing ongoing support and impartial IAG
* Provide additional support during the first 6 weeks, including half-day sessions to meet employer and learner expectations
* Support learners at programme exit with information, advice and guidance on progression and employment opportunities
* Record starts and pipeline figures in weekly performance reports
* Meet and report weekly on outcomes of interviews and starts
* Report on monthly activities against KPIs
* Drive performance against academy budget and targets

Administration and Generic

* Ensure correct processing and filing of PLRs and eligibility documentation
* Liaise with administration to provide accurate information for employer Apprenticeship documentation
* Inform the administration team to generate EDRS numbers
* Update employers database and files with H&S and ONAs
* Manage enrolment paperwork and final EPA documentation, with follow-up as required
* Carry out health and safety checks annually and log them with the Administration team
* Provide ad hoc and regular reports as required
* Manage the Employer Engagement CRM database and regularly update employer information
* Liaise with Training Instructors to support employer reviews and provide feedback to Tutors
* Act as first point of contact for inbound/outbound calls
* General administration duties including diary management for the EE Manager and related tasks
* Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, guidance and information as part of your role
