Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive looking to further develop your career in a supportive and established environment? Our client, a highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Essex, is seeking a skilled professional to join their Wills, Trusts & Probate team in Colchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of private client matters, including Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Deeds of Variation. You will join a friendly, approachable team, delivering practical, client-focused advice to individuals, families, and business owners across Colchester and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload of Wills, Trusts, Probate, and related private client matters.
* Provide expert advice on estate planning, inheritance tax, and lifetime planning.
* Draft, review, and update Wills and Trust documents, and advise on trustees’ duties.
* Guide clients through the probate process, including Grant applications, asset collection, debt payment, and distribution to beneficiaries.
* Advise on and manage disputes or challenges in relation to Wills and estates.
* Contribute to business development, marketing, and relationship-building activities within the local community.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE in private client work.
* Confident in managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
* Strong client care and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain trusted relationships.
* Commercially aware and proactive in identifying and delivering solutions for clients.
* Motivated, approachable, and able to thrive within a collaborative team environment.
