Who You Are You are an experienced social worker with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in a permanent setting. Ideally, you reside more than 50 miles from Swindon and are able to commit to working in the office three days per week. You must be a car driver and open to a non-condensed working pattern. You have a strong background in family safeguarding and working with Children in Need. What the Job Involves You will be part of Swindon Borough Council's Family Safeguarding Service, working within a pod of social workers to manage and support children and their families. Your responsibilities include undertaking comprehensive assessments, participating in care proceedings both privately and publicly, and developing care plans that focus on achieving permanency for children, including through adoption. You will work collaboratively with adult practitioners to advance Child in Need plans and improve outcomes for children. You will also receive a travel and accommodation allowance.
