Harrison Davies Partners are delighted to be partnering with an instantly recognisable construction business in their search for a 6 month interim Financial Controller. The business are currently going through high levels of change and are seeking a candidate available at short notice to oversee and manage the reporting and technical finance function. The position will suit a technically strong, hands-on FC who can take ownership of group reporting, statutory accounts, and year-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation and delivery of Group statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP / IFRS.
* Oversee the year-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate and complete.
* Manage the external audit, acting as the key point of contact for auditors and ensuring all requirements are efficiently delivered.
* Coordinate corporation tax and compliance processes, liaising with external advisors where required.
* Drive continuous improvements in financial controls, systems, and reporting efficiency.
* Provide clear financial insight and support to the Group Finance Director and senior leadership team.
Candidate Profile:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills.
* Proven experience in group consolidations, statutory reporting, and audit management.
* Previous exposure to multi-entity group environments.
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced or change-oriented business.
* Prior interim experience preferred but not essential.
* Commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months (this could extend)
