About the role:
As a Materials Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials through our production process. You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the delivery of parts, maintaining optimal stock levels, managing obsolescence, and supporting on-time delivery performance across the business.
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Plan, schedule, and manage material and component requirements to support production demands.
2. Ensure on-time delivery of all parts required for manufacturing.
3. Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues that may impact production schedules.
4. Identify and reduce obsolete or excess stock, driving continuous improvement in inventory optimisation.
5. Maintain accurate data within SAP and ensure system integrity across planning activities.
6. Collaborate with procurement, operations, and engineering teams to resolve material-related issues.
7. Analyse demand trends and forecast requirements to support production planning.
8. Prepare and present material status reports, KPIs, and other supply chain metrics as required.
This will be suited to you if…
9. You have proven experience in a materials planning, production planning, or supply chain role.
10. You have strong working knowledge of SAP (MM/PP modules preferred).
11. You have excellent organisational and time-management skills.
12. You're able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
13. You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
14. You have effective communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
15. You have high attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
