Salary: £34,001 - £40,150 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
About the Role
Chalk education are seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO to join our team from January 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential.
As SENCO, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our SEND provision, ensuring that students with additional needs receive the highest standard of support and that staff are equipped to meet those needs effectively.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to identify and address individual needs.
* Develop and oversee individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and interventions.
* Provide guidance, training, and support to staff across the school.
* Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and all statutory requirements.
Requirements:
* SENCO qualification (National Award for SEN Coordination) - essential.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A genuine commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners.
