The purpose of this role is to pursue initiatives in collaboration with markets in the optimization of capital investments in restaurant development activities, while supporting their achievement of opening/ reinvestment plans in line with agreed brand standards.
The successful performance of this role will be critical to the function achieving its goals in the coming years. Close collaboration with market and as relevant BU teams, the role will require the incumbent to be engaged with other members of the Global Restaurant Development & Design Team and in dialogue/exchange with members in the broader Restaurant Experience Team & company organization.
The position reports to the Senior Director Global Development, Investment Optimization & Standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead/pursue initiatives in collaboration with markets to drive value & optimization of capital investment in restaurant development/construction solutions
2. Partner with relevant markets, segment, 3rd party and other relevant functions to support prototyping & application of optimized investment restaurants solutions
3. Provision and maintenance of globally applicable tools (eg building right sizing calculator) to inform strategy & activities
4. Pursuit/lead of standardization and scaling solutions of greatest benefit and in accordance to market conditions
5. Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing Services and Segment to unlock sourcing opportunities of standardized solutions
6. Providing guidance/consultancy, benchmark, best practices and training of market resources and functions
7. When relevant provide input/insights/support as relevant to key stakeholders from across the organization, working on multi-disciplinary projects

Qualifications:
16. Bachelor’s degree in a restaurant development discipline, construction, architecture, engineering, quantity surveyor or related field
17. Significant and proven experience in development, with broad management knowledge across several functional areas of a multi-site international operator; development (construction, engineering, real estate)
18. Proven experience in development cost analysis to identify profitability of different development/construction or process solutions to drive value & optimization of capital investment
