Job Details: JOB BAND: C | CONTRACT TYPE: 2 × FTC/attachment role until 27th February 2027 | DEPARTMENT: Children’s and Education | LOCATION: Media City, Salford – Hybrid | PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £34,000 - £44,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Purpose of the Role
You will be working on CBeebies Parenting, our digital offering that includes a website, social media, podcasts and shows. You will help parents create opportunities to build chat and learning into their daily tasks and everyday play, share expert advice on child development and produce content on various aspects of parenting life. You will also work with early years, child development and speech & language organisations, local authorities, family hubs, national and local charities and external commercial partners to embed our content into practice. As part of this, you will attend many events across the UK to meet audiences – parent/caregivers/families and professionals in early years, and will organise, manage logistics and deliver live events. You will develop and plan content for the events, as well as creating digital resources and web content.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Work effectively with other departments, suppliers & partners (internal & external) ensuring the BBC maintains excellent relationships throughout
* Manage many relationships with leading UK organisations – with excellent organisational skills
* Support the development, management and creation of content on a variety of platforms
* Ensure all content is of a first class standard: thoroughly researched, accurate, with excellent attention to detail and in keeping with audience needs and expectations
* Ensure that output complies with BBC editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards, and that BBC Health and Safety policy is observed
* Be technically proficient to the requirements of the role
* Direct and coordinate resources in a busy, production environment
* Nurture and develop junior members of the team

Essential Criteria
Your Skills and Experience
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Great communication skills with proven experience of working with a range of contributors from families to experts and talent
* A self‑starter, using initiative and tenacity to find new contacts in early years and parenting fields to help build new relationships. You will learn to explain our content in detail for organisations to embed and use in their practice.
* Strong knowledge of the UK parenting content landscape and will be audience‑focused with everything you do, with an awareness of the needs and demands of both parents / caregivers, healthcare and early years professionals - along with the ability to generate, research and produce ideas that are supportive and engaging
* The flexibility to work across a range of content to help produce an innovative, content‑driven website and social media presence, with audience insight right at the heart
* Good knowledge and experience of using content management systems to create web pages
* The skills to edit and produce short films and graphics for web and social media, combined with experience of creating web and social media content

* Experience of developing and delivering presentations
