Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being challenged? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new series of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
The Ultimate Diesel Generators (UDG) Project Manager (PM) for Install and Commissioning will focus on the I&C phase of the project and will work with the UDG Design & Manufacture PM to ensure delivery of the entire contract lifecycle in accordance with the overall Project schedule. The PMs will ensure planning and delivery meet all safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to meet project needs. They report directly to a Senior Project Manager and are responsible for directing activities related to the full lifecycle of a contract or work package.
This role reports through the Equipment Program part of the business and has been created as a result of installation works transferring to the MEH Alliance as a scope supplier.
Pay, Benefits, and Culture
Along with a competitive salary, depending on experience, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a company pension scheme and various flexible benefits such as parental leave, electric vehicle leasing, health insurance, product discounts, critical illness insurance, technology vouchers, gym membership, and season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility and support collaboration, whether you're in the office, on-site, or working remotely. Our priority is to ensure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment, promoting equity, diversity, and social mobility. We support your career journey and encourage reasonable adjustments if needed.

You will assist in Project Management of the UDG Contract, covering Design and Manufacturing, and support the Senior Project Manager to deliver the contract or package activities safely, on time, within budget, and meeting technical requirements. You will monitor progress, track milestones, deadlines, and budgets, and report to key stakeholders.
You will identify and resolve issues, develop and update the programme budget, and ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled, escalating issues as necessary.
The role is primarily site-based at HPC, with some work at Bridgwater/Bristol offices.
Who You Are
You will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, preferably in manufacturing or related fields. Demonstrate leadership skills in complex projects, have knowledge of CDM Regulations, and proficiency with estimating, scheduling, risk management, and Earned Value Management tools.

You should have project management experience in engineering design, contracts, and field execution strategies, with knowledge of EPCM projects, procurement, contract management, cost control, risk, schedule, change management, and negotiation experience. Experience with NEC and FIDIC contracts is also required.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! You must also meet security vetting criteria, typically requiring UK residence for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
The closing date for applications is 28th July 2025.
