As part of VINCI Building, CDA offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that leverage cutting-edge technology and design principles.\n\nAbout the role\n\nAs a senior technician with either a background in civil or structural engineering, you’ll play a pivotal role providing technical expertise and leadership across a range of mid to large schemes supporting large UK & International contractors to deliver projects in the healthcare, education, commercial, and aviation sector to name a few. Working on your own initiative, or supporting other technicians, you’ll ensure quality and efficiency in technical operations.\n\nSUMMARY OF ROLE\n\n * Working under the supervision of a project lead and responsible for the supervision of junior technicians.\n\n * Experience in elemental design of steelwork, concrete, timber and masonry members.\n\n * Preparation of general arrangement and detailed drawings for building structures (steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry).\n\n * Preparation of general arrangement and detailed drawings for retaining structures, including reinforcement layouts and details.\n\n * Preparation of general arrangement and detailed drawings for sub-structures, including reinforcement layouts and details.\n\n * Preparation of bar bending schedules.\n\n * To review drawings and details produced by other members of the design team as part of the process of generating coordinated details.\n\n * Some of knowledge of detailing of drainage and external works would be beneficial but not critical.\n\n * Role would be office based.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\n * \n\n Minimum HNC in either civil or structural engineering\n\nEXPERIENCE\n\n * Minimum 5 years working in a consulting engineers’ office.\n\n * Applicants must hold the Right to Work in the UK without requiring sponsorship\n\nSKILLS\n\n * Proficient in the use of both Autocad and Revit and good knowledge of basic Microsoft packages.\n\n * Experience in elemental design of steelwork, concrete, timber and masonry members.\n\n * (Current software employed includes Quikport, Quikjoint, Quikframe, Merlin and Quikbeam, GSA, CADS masonry analysis and design, Tedds, Tekla – Frame design suite (includes Tekla Connection Designer & Portal Frame Designer).\n\nWe are VINCI Building\n\nOperating from our network of offices throughout England and Wales, VINCI Building delivers new build, refurbishment and associated fitout works, with expertise in the education, healthcare, industrial, air, retail, commercial and mixed-use sectors.\n\nWe focus on technical excellence and experience to sustainably deliver best value for our clients.
