Opportunity
We are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Lead to join the Area Integration Team, who ensure that there is a recommended sequence of installation of all scope across multiple contracts within their designated area.
As an Engineering Lead, your primary objective will be to identify and eliminate issues to fully de-risk site activities. This will involve interfacing with the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Area Multi-Disciplinary Teams on the HPC project.
To be successful, you will need to use 3D and 4D tools, such as Navisworks and/or Synchro, and manage and analyse data via databases, Excel, and Power BI.

What you'll be doing
The Engineering Lead will have experience in planning and constructing complex construction projects to achieve the job purpose objectives:
* Advocating safe and effective planning of works for site construction.
* Ensuring that conventional and nuclear safety considerations are recognised as essential to the success of the project and built into the planning processes.
* Ensuring that detailed plans are developed on a facility and/or area basis which integrate, co-ordinate, and sequence work activities to achieve the optimum construction sequence.
* Fostering and promoting Area Management collaboration between Delivery Integration, Project Controls, Area MDT members, and supply chain partners to achieve a “what's best for the project” outcome.
* Understanding and adhering to the processes and procedures that govern the Delivery Integration Team's scope of work and advocating their effective implementation.
* Maximising the knowledge gained from lessons learned from previous projects and utilising the project's lessons learned program for experiences.
* Encouraging the development of HPC lessons learned to support future project execution.
Who you are
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Equivalent in Construction Management or related subject, or a demonstrable level of experience based on years of experience and project assignments.
* Extensive working knowledge in the delivery of large and highly complex construction projects.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of programme progress and forecast position and planning.
* Strong communication skills required; knowledge of French can be an advantage.
* Experience and understanding of working in a Nuclear and Safety Quality Culture.
* Understanding and awareness of working in a highly regulated environment.
* Ability to work collaboratively and in an integrated team environment.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Management of strategic planning, developing construction sequences, and recovery plans.
* Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters.
* Ability to produce informative, concise reports.
* Awareness of project change control and risk management processes.
