Responsibilities
Help us build trust in our data and drive smarter, more transparent, evidence-based decisions across the Council.
As the Councils first CRM Data Steward, youll shape how we manage, govern and use data to better serve our residents. Youll take ownership of our CRM data standards and play a key role in ensuring that every decision we make is based on accurate, high-quality, and well-governed information.
Working style: This is a hybrid working role, youll be based in the Borough 60% of the week, collaborating across services to improve how data supports residents and community outcomes. Whether youre on the frontline or behind the scenes, youll be part of a dedicated, forward‑thinking team making a measurable difference.
This is a newly created, high‑impact role – one that blends technical skill, governance expertise and strategic influence. Youll be the Councils authority on CRM data quality and compliance, responsible for maintaining the integrity of our complex, high-volume resident and service datasets. Your focus will be on building a culture of data quality and accountability across the organisation. Youll design and deliver training, guidance, and practical support to embed consistent, ethical and transparent data practices at every level of the Council.
You’ll lead data analysis and quality assurance, producing insightful and actionable reports and insights that help senior leaders make informed, evidence‑based decisions. This includes analysing complex datasets to spot trends, identify service gaps and make evidence‑led recommendations that improve how we serve residents.
Day‑to‑day, youll define and enforce CRM data standards and oversee regular compliance checks and audits. Working closely with our Digital Development and Technology (DD&T) team, youll design automated data‑quality and validation processes and support system upgrades and migrations. Youll also collaborate on CRM enhancements – from smarter data cleansing tools to Power BI dashboards – improving how teams work with information, improving decision‑making, and enriching residents digital experience through the MyRBKC portal.
For more information, please review the Job Description and Person Specification.
Qualifications
You’ll be an analytical and technically skilled professional with proven experience working in Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration and youll bring strong data management and reporting skills to match. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Power BI is essential, along with the ability to manage large, complex datasets with precision and confidence.
You’ll understand database design, system architecture and data models and be well‑versed in GDPR, data protection and corporate governance requirements. Just as importantly, youll know how to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable insights – using your communication and influencing skills to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, clarity and consistency – someone who can spot risks early, propose improvements and ensure our data systems remain robust and compliant. Youll also be a natural collaborator, able to build trust and guide colleagues at all levels in adopting better data practices.
Above all, youll reflect the Councils values: Putting Communities First, Respect, Integrity and Working Together – using data not just as information, but as a driver for smarter, fairer and more transparent decision‑making.
