Job Title: Operational Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of cost accounting, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Financial control and analysis of cost of sales, product margin and productivity
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial data to support data‑driven decision‑making
- Cross‑functional collaboration across multiple levels of the organisation
- Contribute to business process improvement and implement efficiencies
- Generate weekly sales forecast and stock reporting
- Manage month‑end close activities including accruals, journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Year‑end review of costing structure and roll‑up cost requirements
- Oversee credit control with Sales OpCo's and intercompany recharges
- Develop team capabilities and ensure collective achievement of objectives
- Other ad hoc tasks as requested by Line Manager
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant
- Experience managing a team
- Effective communication skills, able to simplify complex data and present actionable insights to a range of stakeholders
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing finance environment—including costing, profit margins and inventory (highly advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent problem‑solving, process‑improvement and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills with a commercial mindset; ability to present concepts and results concisely to all levels of the organisation
- IT proficiency, strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI desirable
