Job summary
Compassionate, creative, and self-motivated mental health nurses are required to help us continue to offer a truly great assessment, signposting, and short-term treatment service.
Our nurses, some of whom are Non-Medical Prescribers (NMP), work across the county in local teams. Community experience is not essential as we provide strong training and mentoring support.
We seek forward-thinking individuals interested in working within a Primary Care context, including local GP surgeries and other Primary Care Teams. Responsibilities include assessment, consultation, and support to General Practice staff and colleagues in the voluntary and third sectors. Our nurses provide assessment and signposting to community services based on health promotion, recovery, and socially inclusive principles.
Prior to Covid, we operated from GP surgeries, offering both face-to-face and telephone assessments. Currently, we are working face-to-face and remotely, and a flexible approach to work management is essential as circumstances can change rapidly.
