Description ‘Social workers love working in East Sussex because they feel valued and supported.’ Ofsted Report 2024 We are looking for a creative and professionally curious Social Worker to join our Separated Migrant Children team, based in Eastbourne and across East Sussex. Our Separated Migrant Children team works with young people aged 14 -25 who enter the UK as children seeking asylum, who do not have a parent or relative to care for them. You’ll be building relationships with the young people to support them and promote their development, identity and wellbeing whilst working collaboratively with their carers and the professional network to progress individual care plans and pathway plans. You’ll support our young people with all aspects of their lives from when they first arrive in to our care; from health and education, to finding their feet in their new community.. We are looking for individuals who are able to engage effectively using creativity, compassion and authority to overcome resistance can build relationships, and communicate, while maintaining professional boundaries in complex and emotionally challenging situations We seek people who are ambitious for the young people they work with and fully committed to making a positive difference.
