We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated service and maintenance team. This vital role ensures that our plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standards—maximising uptime, supporting safe operations, and delivering a best-in-class experience to our customers. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment within the yard. This is primarily in our main depot in Rushden, however occasional travel to our Durham yard will be required. • Ensure all service activities are accurately documented and meet ISO and Health & Safety standards. • Take ownership of the quality of equipment leaving the yard, ensuring it is fit for purpose. • Respond to breakdowns swiftly—both in the yard and on-site—diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently. • When required, provide first-line technical support to internal teams (engineers, sales, office) and external customers. • Maintain yard plant and oversee stock control—advising on parts requirements. • Support the loading/unloading and safe storage of tower cranes. • Deliver and assist with technical training and upskilling of team members. ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For • Strong background in mechanical or electrical maintenance, ideally with heavy plant or construction equipment. • Hands-on problem solver with a “right-first-time” mindset. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support internal and external stakeholders. • Highly organised with a focus on quality and safety. • Ability to work independently in a yard-based environment, with flexibility to attend site when needed. • Experience in crane maintenance or similar plant equipment is highly desirable. ________________________________________ Why Join Us? • Be a key part of a business that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Opportunities to develop your technical skills and participate in training initiatives. • A supportive team environment that recognises and rewards proactive problem-solving.
