Job Role:
Health Link Worker (Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, and Boater)
Salary: £25,235 per year
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed-Term Contract till 31/03/2026
Location: Wiltshire

The Role
Join our dedicated Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, and Boater (GRTB) Service team and take on a truly meaningful role! This is a fantastic opportunity to recruit and train community volunteers and work with health providers to increase awareness, access and uptake of health services among Travelling communities, focusing on prevention and early intervention.
Responsibilities Include
As part of this role, you'll collaborate closely with our team and partner agencies to ensure a seamless and comprehensive service for all clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Encouraging and supporting clients with serious mental health illness to engage with annual physical health checks.
* Encourage and facilitate clients to attend cancer screening appointments.
* Provide clients with information and ensure an enabling service so that the appropriate services can be accessed.
* Enabling clients to understand and access appropriate health related services.
Qualifications / Requirements
* A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
* Enthusiasm for supporting individuals from under-served communities and having an open-minded, non-judgmental approach
* Able to confidentially build relationship with health care and other professionals.
* Empathy and understanding of the needs of Julian House clients
