Role Description
This is a remote role for a Researcher at The Social Think Tank. The Researcher will be responsible for conducting thorough research on various social issues, analyzing data, and generating actionable insights. They will collaborate with team members to develop innovative, scalable solutions and contribute to the co-founding of new ventures. Daily tasks include identifying research opportunities, designing and executing research plans, analyzing findings, and presenting reports to stakeholders. The Researcher will also participate in brainstorming sessions and strategic planning.
Qualifications
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Experience in data analysis and generating actionable insights
* Ability to critically evaluate information and present findings clearly
* Collaboration and teamwork skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and remotely
* (Optional) Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in social innovation
* (Preferred) Higher Education degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics).

Message from the Founder
Hi, it’s Henry, the Founder of The Social Think Tank. I set up this platform to explore problems in society by way of research, qualitative and quantitative; and connecting likeminded individuals into Research teams to create actionable plans to address those problems by way of enterprise.
To help us understand your fit, could you please share your CV or a short summary of your relevant experiences (paid or unpaid) and key skills.
It’s important to note upfront that this is not a paid role. Instead, it is a freelance, collaborative position where you will contribute to research projects alongside other Researchers. The aim is to develop ideas that may grow into social enterprises. If an enterprise proves viable, you and your co-founders would go on to hold equity, while The Social Think Tank would take a minority stake and provide support services such as accounting, financing, and strategic guidance.
The onus will be on you and your fellow Researchers to drive these projects forward, with the potential to build meaningful, lasting ventures that create real societal impact.
This structure means the Researcher role is flexible and not tied to a fixed contract. Instead, it offers a platform for driven, like-minded individuals to explore innovative ideas and turn them into impactful businesses.
