HOURS: 40 hours per week (or PT hours for the right candidates)

Main purpose of the role:

The purpose of the Quality Officer role is to ensure high standards of care through the development and oversight of person-centred care plans, completed in collaboration with service users within a specific time frame. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding and enhancing quality by conducting timely risk assessments, 6-monthly reviews, and responding to urgent issues as they arise. Working in partnership with local authorities, stakeholders, and medical professionals, the Quality Officer ensures all practices are aligned with the CQCs five key lines of enquiry. Through consistent monitoring and proactive quality assurance, the role supports the delivery of safe, effective, and responsive care across the service.

* Proven experience in care planning, risk assessment, and quality monitoring within health or social care settings
* Knowledge of CQC regulations and the five key lines of enquiry (KLOEs)
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, families, professionals, and stakeholders
* Ability to manage competing priorities and respond quickly to urgent needs
* High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate, compliant documentation
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines (e.g., 48-hour care plan completion)
* Compassionate, empathetic, and person-centred approach to care delivery
* Driving license required personal use of own vehicle
* Relevant health and social care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, or equivalent)
* Experience supporting services through CQC inspections or quality audits
* Previous involvement in service development or quality improvement initiatives
* Familiarity with digital care planning systems and risk management tools
* Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of inclusive practices
* Provide all staff with a Free Enhanced DBS.
