The Opportunity
Following an external strategic communications review in 2024, we are looking to strengthen DLA’s industry profile with the appointment of a Marketing Manager to expand and evolve the way we engage with our variety of audiences.
We see this role as central in our continued growth. The right candidate will be a proactive, strategic thinker with solid experience in the built environment sector and should be confident communicating at all levels to inform and motivate our team.
Summary of Responsibilities
·Refine and manage DLA’s strategic communications and marketing strategy to create coordinated and consistent outputs aligned with our 5 year Business Strategy
·Develop and refine DLA’s brand and ethos, ensuring it accurately represents our culture, strengths and values across all communication channels
·The role will report to the Partner responsible for Marketing and present to the DLA board on performance and budget spend/forecasts. The Marketing Manager will be supported by our Information Manager and will line manage and work with our Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
·Manage all facets of DLA’s communications ensuring message consistency and effectiveness including: thought lead, publications, social media, newsletters, press, events, awards, corporate hospitality, industry engagement.
·Proven experience in leading marketing activities and brand development within the built environment sector - ideally town planning / urban design / masterplanning – with measurable impact and contacts within the industry.
·Strategic planning, co-ordination and execution of cross-platform marketing activities that align with corporate goals and industry best practice.
·Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal - and a track record of developing compelling content to engage specific audiences.
·Strong organisational qualities, with the capacity to inspire and guide teams, driving excellence and innovation within the marketing and communications functions.

·Based in Milton Keynes (with hybrid working options)
·Full or part time position
·£50k-60k (full time) depending on experience
