You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and innovation of Arqiva’s nationwide network of masts and towers. From designing and assessing structures, to supporting cutting-edge projects, this role offers hands-on experience, professional development, and the chance to contribute to critical national infrastructure. What you’ll be responsible for: To provide a professional structural engineering service to support the delivery of broadcast and telecommunication infrastructure projects Review and audit structural designs from third-party engineers. Plan and oversee structural work to maintain safety and performance. Keep structural data accurate and up to date in our systems. Suggest and implement improvements to engineering processes and tools. Contribute to a team of specialists in mast and tower engineering. Help identify structural risks and promote a strong safety culture. Learn and grow in areas like structural health monitoring and dynamics. Support a secure and collaborative working environment. You will be working alongside dedicated and talented people who really care about our customers and each other. The strengths you will bring to the team A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline approved by the Engineering Council Institutions as an approved qualification for MICE or MIStructE. Experience in structural analysis and the design of steel structures. A working knowledge of the following codes: BSEN 1991: Actions on structures, BSEN 1993: Design of steel structures. Experience working on projects, whether through university, internships, or placements, supporting documentation and risk assessments. A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a team to achieve shared goals. Use of structural analysis tools and a good understanding of structural behaviour. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documents. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint; experience with data tools like Qlik Sense is a bonus. A logical thinker who enjoys solving problems and making sound decisions based on technical information.
