As a Hire Controller at a leading equipment rental provider, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and supporting them through the entire hire journey - from initial enquiry to off-hire and feedback. Your focus will be on understanding the customer's needs, offering solutions, upselling when appropriate, and ensuring a smooth and professional service every time.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle inbound hire enquiries via phone, email, and website
* Process orders from enquiry through to post-hire feedback
* Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers
* Maximise hire and upsell opportunities through product knowledge
* Liaise with internal teams to coordinate deliveries and collections
* Use your initiative to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
* Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of service
About You
* Previous experience in a customer service or sales support role
* Experience handling inbound orders or enquiries
* Industry knowledge in equipment hire or construction is desirable, but not essential
* Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and adaptable mindset, comfortable handling multiple priorities
* Confident using MS Office and eager to learn new systems
* A drive for continuous improvement and delivering a great customer experience
