We're looking for a Butchery Supervisor to join our Spalding site, leading a high-performing team and driving results across production.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or someone ready to step up into their first leadership role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
You'll play a key role in delivering production targets, yields, quality, and safety standards, while developing and supporting your team to perform at their best.
Location - Spalding
Working Hours - Monday to Friday - 06:30 am - 16:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and manage operatives and Team Leaders within the butchery department
Drive performance against KPIs including yield, efficiency, quality, and service levels
Ensure all processes meet food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
Monitor performance, resolve issues quickly, and reduce downtime and waste
Support training, coaching, and development of team members
Ensure accurate production and compliance documentation
Manage labour effectively to meet operational needs
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Deputise for the Butchery Manager when required
What We're Looking For
Experience in butchery, meat processing, or food manufacturing
Ability to debone leg and shoulder, and understanding of carcass structure
Previous supervisory/team leader experience or a strong operative ready to step up into a leadership role
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and GMP
Experience working with KPIs and production targets
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Confident using IT systems (e.g. Excel, SAP or similar)
