About the Role
A prestigious Independent school in Barnet is seeking a talented Music Teacher to join their performing arts department. You'll deliver engaging music lessons across all key stages.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Music Teacher lessons, tailored to the curriculum.
* Prepare students for instrumental or vocal performances and examinations.
* Develop students' musical skills, including theory, composition, and performance.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Contribute to the development of the music curriculum and resources.
* Organise and lead music-related extracurricular activities.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music.
* Proven experience in teaching music at secondary level, including A-Level.
* Strong musical skills and knowledge of music theory and performance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
* MPS/UPS salary scale, dependent on experience.
