Advanced Support Worker - Female Waking Nights
We are looking for dedicated support staff to join our team to provide 2:1 support for a young lady in her own tenancy, across day and waking night shifts. This is a full-time (35 hours) role with some part-time options considered. The role requires flexibility to work various days, including some weekends.
Responsibilities
* Provide 2:1 support to a young lady in a community setting, following strategies, guidelines and plans to maintain safety.
* Spend the whole shift with the person you support to make a meaningful impact on their life.
* Work across the site supporting others as needed, with 3:1 day and 2:1 night coverage requirements.
* Be patient and use clear communication, including potential use of Makaton (training provided; experience with Makaton is beneficial).
* Collaborate closely with professionals to implement care plans and ensure safety.
* Be flexible to work various shifts (including some weekends) as part of a 24/7 support model.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to work with someone with a hearing impairment.
* Willingness to be trained in Makaton; prior experience with Makaton is beneficial.
* Desirable but not mandatory: UK driving license.
