Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Control Assistant/ Picker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the organisation and efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position involves various tasks related to supporting production and warehousing operations by ensuring stock accuracy and supplying materials and parts to the main production areas. You will be working Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 12:00.
Responsibilities
* Carry out regular cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
* Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
* Pick and supply stock items for production requirements ( Water-Spider duties)
* Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
* .Working closely with Stock Control and Production teams to ensure production demands are met.
Person Specification
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of stock control procedures. (Essential).
* Good level of numeracy and literacy. ( Essential)
* Ability to follow processes and instructions accurately. ( Essential)
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (ERP/MRP) to facilitate efficient and effective operations.
* Ability to perform quality control checks and maintain high standards in stock management.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the role.
* Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
* Flexibility to support different area of the warehouse when required.
