Role Overview
As the Commercial & Procurement Manager for this group of aerospace engineering companies, you will coordinate and optimise commercial and procurement activities across three businesses. Your responsibilities include overseeing contractual engagements, procurement strategies, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives to drive performance and efficiency throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Represent the group in all contractual matters, including negotiations and reviews of customer contracts, NDAs, and long-term agreements across business units.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders in each company to foster relationships with clients and suppliers, monitoring and enhancing commercial performance.
3. Provide strategic insights to facilitate profitable growth aligned with the group's objectives.
4. Lead bid management processes, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and best practices.
5. Oversee Estimating and Procurement departments to ensure accurate and timely pricing, promoting synergies.
6. Develop and implement standardised procedures with clear KPIs to promote best practices and efficiency.
7. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulations across the group.
8. Work with sales and business development teams to identify and develop new business opportunities.
9. Monitor customer account performance to identify risks and prevent revenue losses.
10. Negotiate with suppliers to optimise procurement processes and manage contracts effectively.
11. Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercial and Procurement teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Significant experience in Commercial and Procurement Management, preferably in MRO or Aerospace Manufacturing sectors.
2. Understanding of Contract Law and proficiency in negotiating complex terms.
3. Track record in managing customer accounts and contributing to business development.
4. Expertise in procurement strategies and supply chain management.
5. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
