Job Summary
Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) – Guildford Hospital, Nuffield Health. Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary depends on experience. Closing date: 11 June 2026. Location: Stirling Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7RF.
Responsibilities
* Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
* Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff in full compliance with policies and procedures.
* Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s quality governance framework, national standards, CQC/HIW/HIS regulations, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence‑based guidelines.
* Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion, and support them to cope emotionally with their care.
* Collaborate with other clinicians within the hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Take charge of a theatre, coordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered with the appropriate governing body, holding the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration.
* Post‑registration experience.
* Current UK professional registration.
