Job Title: Surgical Medical Sales RepresentativeOverview
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Surgical Medical Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will promote and sell surgical devices, instruments, and/or capital equipment to hospitals, surgical centres, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate has strong clinical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in medical sales or operating room environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital administrators, and procurement teams.
* Present, promote, and sell surgical products through effective demonstrations, clinical support, and consultative selling.
* Provide in-procedure support in operating rooms to ensure proper product usage and optimal outcomes.
* Achieve or exceed sales targets within an assigned territory.
* Conduct product training and educational sessions for medical staff.
* Analyze territory performance, identify growth opportunities, and create strategic sales plans.
* Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, and evolving clinical practices.
* Attend trade shows, conferences, and company training sessions as required.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account developments using CRM tools.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field (preferred).
* 2+ years of medical sales experience; surgical or OR-based sales highly preferred.
* Strong clinical aptitude and ability to understand surgical procedures and anatomy.
* Comfortable working in the operating room and supporting live surgical cases.
* Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
