Commercial Services Manager (Technology)
CONTRACT: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

SALARY: £33,504.00 (Grade C) *Plus car allowance
JOB PURPOSE
To support the organisation in managing our distribution agreement and partnership with technology provider Lynxight to provide an assisted lifeguard solution in the UK & Ireland.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As Commercial Services Manager (Technology), you will promote, sell, and distribute the Lynxight system to various target markets, including swimming pools, hotels, recreational facilities, and other relevant establishments. You will be pivotal in supporting customers in installing, testing and using the Lynxight technology system and establishing and maintaining customer partnerships.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sales and Business Development: Support with generating leads, conducting sales presentations, and demonstrating the unique features and benefits of the Lynxight system to potential customers.
* Relationships: Cultivate relationships, assist in negotiating agreements, and close sales to achieve revenue targets.
* Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the swimming pool and water park industry. Understand customer needs, address inquiries, provide excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle, and oversee site surveys and installations.
* Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. Provide feedback to Lynxight on market intel.
* Reporting and Forecasting: Update sales tools and CRM systems (Hubspot) to track and monitor sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
* Customer Service: Support Senior Commercial Services Manager to ensure the delivery of 1st tier customer service support to customers (both general queries and minor levels of system and hardware malfunction).
* Enablement and Activation: Support customers during all Lynxight install phases, including installation, testing, handover, and system sign-off.
* Training: Provide training to RLSS UK customers utilising Lynxight.
Other duties & responsibilities
* To represent RLSS UK and participate in external meetings.
* To represent RLSS UK at external events to showcase Lynxight and other RLSS UK products.
* To maintain awareness of local, regional, and national issues affecting technology and new developments we support.
* To highlight other RLSS UK services to customers when possible.
* To organise and attend meetings with RLSS UK and Lynxight as required.
* All other duties reasonably associated with your role, as directed by the Line Manager.
* Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up-to-date documentation as part of RLSS UK’s compliance programme.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes
* Proven track record of success in a sales/service role
* Strong understanding of the swimming pool/leisure industry
* A good understanding of H&S guidance and best practices within the swimming pool industry
* Good organisational skills and ability to work under time constraints to meet challenging targets and deadlines
* Effective problem-solving skills
* A successful communicator, able to confidently liaise, engage, influence, and negotiate with a wide range of people, including external managers/directors, suppliers, and partners
* Must be a self-motivator and able to take the initiative on a range of tasks
* Have a positive, solution-focused approach to challenges
* Confidence using standard Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
* Have a clean UK driving licence and have the ability to travel across the UK and Ireland
Desirable Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes
* Knowledge and understanding of RLSS UK, including the products and services offered by the Society
* A formal qualification within the Health and Safety field (eg. IOSH, NEBOSH)
* A passion for technology
* The ideal candidate will be able to carry out all physical requirements of the role (with or without a reasonable adjustment), such as testing of Lynxight systems both in and out of the pool.
