Location: On site around Glasgow Contract: Permanent (Part-time) or Self-Employed Contractor Salary/Fee: Competitive – depending on experience and arrangement Closing Date: TBC Are you a natural organiser who thrives on making things work smoothly behind the scenes? Do you want to use your skills to support a charity that makes a real difference to people’s lives? We’re looking for a dedicated part-time Operations and Compliance Officer to join our team — or partner with us on a contract basis — to lead key operational functions including vehicle fleet management, health & safety, property maintenance, and policy development. Whether you’re looking for a permanent employed role or are an experienced self-employed contractor, we’d love to hear from you. What you’ll be responsible for: Managing our vehicle fleet: leasing, insurance, servicing, fuel cards, and EV support. Leading on health and safety: chairing our H&S Committee, reviewing policies, and overseeing risk assessments and training. Coordinating property maintenance and statutory compliance (e.g. PAT testing, EPCs, legionella). Reviewing, updating, and communicating policies and procedures across the organisation. Supporting tendering processes, strategic business planning, and responding to operational queries. What we’re looking for: Experience in facilities management and health & safety. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload. Confident communicator with a flexible, problem-solving approach. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Understanding of working in a care or support charity, ideally supporting vulnerable people. Flexible options – employed or contracted: We’re open to: Hiring on a permanent part-time basis (we’ll shape the role to suit the right person). Receiving proposals from contractors offering these services via a consultancy or freelance arrangement.
