Solicitor / Legal Executive – Family Law NQ + Exeter
A well established, full service Devon law firm with a strong local reputation is looking to expand its busy Family team in Exeter.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a thriving, friendly department handling a broad mix of family and matrimonial work. You'll be advising clients on matters including:
* Divorce and civil partnership dissolution
* Separation and cohabitation issues
* Financial settlements
* Children matters
* General family law advice
Key responsibilities include:
* Running and progressing your own day‑to‑day caseload
* Providing clear and empathetic legal advice
* Keeping up to date with legal developments
* Building relationships with clients, referrers and local networks
* Supporting the team with marketing and business‑development activity
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (or close to qualification)
* Experience in family law, ideally across a range of matters
* Experience with legal aid is helpful but not essential.
* Strong client care skills and a professional, approachable manner
* Ability to manage a busy caseload with accuracy and attention to detail
* Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
* Organised, proactive and comfortable using modern case‑management systems
